Chapter synopsis:

Amino acids can play a key role in enhancing plant metabolism. This chapter reviews the various mechanisms of action of amino acids and their potential as biostimulants. It investigates the impact of application of biostimulants containing amino acids on growth, yield, nutrient content (including flavonoid and phenolic content) and quality of different crops.
