Advancements in technology have resulted in changes to management practices including autonomous mowers, lightweight rolling on putting greens and fairways, vertical mowing, air injections, and fraise mowing for renovation to name a few. These practices have lowered the need for chemical inputs through improving the health and density of turfgrass stands. Continued changes in turfgrass maintenance will follow technology advances in turfgrass equipment, and should make turfgrass maintenance more sustainable in the coming years.
