The chapter begins by first providing an introduction to some of the key integrated strategies such as optimized nutrient use, improved residue handling, better soil structure, and microbial approaches that boost soil suppressiveness. It then goes on to describe ways to determine site-specific disease pressure and soil conditions for both soilborne and residue-associate pathogens. The chapter also reviews advancing and implementing site-specific soil management strategies for wheat disease suppression. The chapter concludes by emphasizing the importance of soil management in the prevention and management of wheat diseases, highlighting how advances in AI-driven and precision-based systems could also be considered as management tools in the future.
